i have lived on the west coast my whole life and i am getting sick of it. the weather is always the same. its never EXTREMELY hot or cold. everyone (or in the city i live in) its all about the cars and money. people here love to show-off their $$$. lastly, the west coast seems too much of a "summer vacation year round". at my school, 3/4 of the kids go to school in sandals/bathing suit. i seriously think i am at the beach.
dont mean to offend the west coasters who dont go by those ethics!!

*i seriously think i am at the beach. *

lol, I think my questions for you is "what is wrong with that?" :) Not much of a beach person eh?

Only 3/4 of the kids? Most of the kid's here don't even where slippers. Yeah, I am tired of the yearly summer too. It was 83 degrees today...and I am just so over it. But not the entire west coast is like that...what about Washington? I loveeeeeee Washington :D

Oh man, you people really need to go live in a cold city for a year and see how much you really "hate" it.

I've been living on the east coast for half a year, being a native west coaster. The weather on the west coast is SO much better. You will be dying in the New York heat and in the Pennsylvanian frost. I'm so ready to go back to the west coast for Christmas :)

You should come up to the Bay.

i'm sick of southern cali weather too...

need some VARIATION HERE?!

I know what you guys mean. I just moved one of the snowiest areas in the to North Carolina. My former home got 16 inches of snow on Thanksgiving Day and here it was in the 60s and people were freezing!! I miss the four seasons and the snow; I don't know how you all in California, Hawaii or Florida can stand just having one season all year.

I've lived on the east coast my whole life and I love it. Yeah, it can get a bit cold, but I love it when it snows then you get to go sledding, have snowball fights, build snowmen...man you guys are missing out!!! :)

icurus: i love the beach (surf twice a week) but its just that i would like some variations. i would love to, on a christmas morning look out the window and see 2 feet of snow. Then go out outside and hear christmas carollers (spell?) sing. have u guys seen JUST FRIENDS? basically where the guy lives is kind of how i live. and being where the girl lives would be awesome (to try)

spinach: does it snow up there?

bythe99: do u mean sandals?

uclari: i just want to experience that. maybe after i experience it i might change my mind, but the closest i have been was going to the local mountain for a week (each winter) and see maybe 5 inches of snow. btw lots of the snow where i go is articial/manmade thus i dont get the real feeling

happygal: exactly what i am feeling

Nope, it never snows here. But it doesn't feel like a beach unless you go to visit a beach.

yeah but then thats pointless. i dont want to live in the middle of hot and cold. i want to snow or if not then i might as well stay here.

iiiisssiedaaa

new york is hot and humid during the summer
and frigid in the winter....

i could use some of that moderate temperature. and the beach,
who couldnt use that?

emsibien: ??????

isnt there the beach in new jersey and south caroloina. my friend went surfing there once.

Wow, only people on CC would complain about california's weather.

I guess you guys would rather be at Exeter in New Hampshire's bitter cold snowy for half of the year.

I guess some people like variation, but be realistic for goodness sake, regular people would favor california's weather over anywhere else in America.

i just want some change. thats all.

That's what you keep saying, but you really really ought to experience waking up in the morning and seeing your breath. It's less fun than you think.

And most places that have snow also have humidity in the summer. That's about as fun as driving nails into your pinky finger.

does it snow where u live in japan? and yes i keep saying that because that is the reason i want snow.

Yes, it does. That's the only nice thing about the cold. But even then, in really cold and snowy places, you need to worry about snow tires/chains, shoveling snow off your porch, scraping it off your windshield in the morning...
