east coast vs. west coast

I fully understand your yearning to have an area with snow, The_Who.I'm a native of Arizona, and for once i would just love either a white christmas, or something other than immense heat once in a while. So I fully plan on attending college on the east coast, to have a nice change in scenery.

...and placing your hands on your car in the morning for a few seconds and realizing that it was frozen in place.......

yep thats happened to me. its not fun. neither is waking up and stepping on freezing hardwood floors (i used to have carpet but my parents decided to go on a renovation splurge and now i dont).

is it really that bad? i mean if u have the heater on at night and wear warm clothing, isnt it alright?

well i mean, the floor just gets cold no matter what.

wow. i'd give anything to escape the super hot/super cold weather where i live.

i can't really sympathize

i live in the same weather lol. ny

guys please...please. Two of the greatest rappers of all time have already died over this argument. Can't we all just get along?

^^^how do two dead rappers have to do with a weather change?

bahhhh, i was making a joke, since this thread is called east coast vs west coast, and you guys are arguing over which one is better (in respect to weather)

Come on guys, all you EC whiners are starting to sound like wimps! Cold, snow, none of it is bad. Nothing can beat a Christmas Eve with thunder-snow and freezing temps. Also, there is nothing better in my mind then walking at night time during a snowstorm. And no, I am not being sarcastic. I really love it.

^^^completely agree with u. every holiday season when I hear the song "white christmas" i actually think to myself: some people really do have a white christmas. that must be really awesome to have christmas while its snowing outside.

haha yeah. when you are constantly shivering even with sweaters and heaters in school (that don't really help overly much cause they are crap. and even at home it gets to be $$$ to be warm) with the cold, and your parents won't let you drive cause its "dangerous" in the snow, and you've gotta help shovel, then lets chat.

and half the time it doesn't even snow significantly on christmas just in jan/feb.... at least where i live.

lets not romanticize the cold.

"lets not romanticize the cold."

but at least try it. :)

No, of course I meant slippers. Sandals? Psht.

And I actually love seeing my breath. As soon as I get to the airport I run outside and look at my breath. And when I talk to people outside, all I can think about is breathing heavily while I talk so I can see more of my breath.

And you know those cute little coats that come down to you knees with the 2 buttons tht run parallel down the coat...if I were to wear that with some layers...what is the coldest temp. I could be in and not be cold?

I used to live in Hawaii, and I miss the weather so much!!
As much as people hype it up, snow isn't that great. And no matter how much you wear, you'll always be cold. It's uncomfortable wearing massive bulky jackets and bundling your head and neck up. If you don't wrap your entire body up, the wind blows right through you. It sucks.
When I lived in Hawaii, I missed the variation and the changing of seasons. Man, I was so dumb.

i just thought this was funny: during 1st period some kid was whining and complaining about the freezing temperatures that morning: 48 degrees.

well pooh him....we get a snow day tomorrow =P

aww no fair. we're only supposed to get a "coating - 1 inch".
stupid northwest suburbs. if only we were southwest, then we'd prob have off.

shakes fist at sky

Seriously, all the West Coast, "I want a change" people ought to try waking up and seeing the thermometer in your house say 0 degrees celcius.

It sucks waking up in the middle of the night and realizing that you can't feel your nose.

i never said i wanted to spend my whole life in 0degree temps. just want to do it for like a couple weeks.
