East Laville Roommate?

so of course i applied to honors college housing and got in, but i'm not totally happy with my roommate. i'm not sure if it's too late to switch assigned roommates, but if it's not, i'd love to switch.

i mean he's fine if i don't find someone else, but...

i need someone more liberal and less religious... conservatives kill me on the inside, or i'll kill them on the outside. either way, it just don't think it will work that well.

i'm only somewhat liberal but i'm definitely somewhere between "not religious at all" and "somewhat against organized religion in general." if you're open-minded too, i won't attack your beliefs.

fwiw i'm male. i stay up late and always use headphones. computer engineering major, but not a scary engineer. i promise. if you're some sort of liberal arts major, don't worry... i will not make fun of you and we'll probably have more in common than you'd expect.

there's also next to no chance i'll wake you up in the morning. my earliest class is a 10:30 on M W F.

i'll probably mainly study in the library or in coffee shops, so you might not see me often.

anyway, let me know. private messages might be preferable, but you can reply here too.

Why not give it a try? I believe you can switch after your first week if you’re unhappy.

I’m a liberal myself, and some of my best friends are conservative. I’ve had conservative roommates before (I go to a boarding school), and never run into any problems. No offense intended, but I think you’re overreacting a bit. Part of the college experience is learning to get along with others, even if they did vote for McCain…

I’m going to be in East Laville, too. But I’m in a three-person room that’s full :frowning: . Otherwise I’d offer to let you move in.

I’m not sure the extent of the guy you mention, but there are some really crazy religous whackos about. In fact my roommate was stuck with one until he switched to me.
