<p>Has anyone heard from Eastman yet???</p>
<p>My son applied for cello performance with a CD prescreen. This year is the first time they've done that for cello. No word, but here's what it says on the website:
"In the first half of December, the admissions staff are focussed on processing applications, and filing submitted materials; the scheduling of auditions is a priority for us, but auditions are scheduled on a timeline based on the submission of your application. We anticipate circulating prescreening decisions early in the new year. "</p>

<p>Just to let you know, it took forever for me to hear about my audition time last year. We called a month before my first choice audition day, and they still had not scheduled them, we only heard two weeks before the actual audition.</p>
<p>Last year I heard about the prescreening result (for piano) in around mid-January, so it is still early at this point. Good luck to all!</p>
<p>I'm a clarinetist and got my confirmation email on Dec. 10... my friend is a pianist and his audition date has been confirmed too (which I'm assuming means he passed prescreening). I might be wrong though.</p>
<p>When are you all going? My D submitted for Feb 8th, she had gotten a prior email that most of the dates were full already and that Feb 8th was looking the best.</p>
<p>There is no prescreening for violin and my S got his chosen date (2/15) for violin almost immediately after applying online. He had also gotten an email saying the dates were filling up so we scrambled and filed the application quickly after that.</p>
<p>Thanks. My D will (hopefully) audition for voice which is prescreened. So, I'll just have to wait, thanks and Happy holidays to all.</p>

<p>My son just received an Eastman audition date--via email on New Years Eve. Apparently, he passed the cello pre-screening!</p>

We're still waiting on the voice prescreening.</p>
<p>We heard a week or so ago by mail (I guess D had heard pretty quickly via email) that she is auditioning on Feb 8th (Music Ed - French Horn, no prescreen). Good luck to all and say hi if you see us!!! LOL</p>
