Eastman studio assignments?

<p>Can anyone who has been accepted to Eastman share if studio assignments have been given to accepted students? D (piano) was told they aren't given usually until after acceptance. ?!?!?! That they are still determining studio placement.<br>
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.</p>

<p>Not sure that this is helpful, but my son got his studio assignment (viola) a couple weeks ago.</p>

<p>For what it’s worth the Teacher Preference Form for Eastman states that confirmations of applied studio assignments are generally sent out in June.</p>

<p>If I remember correctly, my son got the ball rolling after his acceptance letter by emailing the faculty member whose studio he had requested, asking when studio assignments would be made. The faculty member responded by saying he was in her studio. Your daughter might try doing the same to get more information.</p>

<p>Thank you all. We didn’t see that on the teacher preference sheet but D did email her prefered teacher after acceptance. No reply, which is unusual as she always replied before. D had a lesson with her back in November which went very well and the teacher seemed very interested. She is a very sought after teacher so I can imagine it might be tough and take awhile. But to accept to a school without knowing who her teacher would be…?? We will wait and see what happens towards the end of the month.
