easy 1 or 2 credit classes

Does know any easy 1/2 credit classes? I need some fillers for my schedule....any recommendations? And this is for this coming Winter semester, something that won't be too hard to get an A in (maybe a seminar class or something)

My adviser recommended the 1 credit geosci classes.

yea i looked at it, geosci 208 but its only for freshman/sophmores…i’m a second year student but i’m a junior by credit, so Wolverine access won’t let me add the class lol.

any of the geosci minicourses

volcanoes and earthquakes
dinosaurs and other failures
plate tectonics
coral reefs
continents adrift
there are more

i’ve also heard aoss101-rocket science is a VERY easy class

You’re in Engineering right? Have you taken 490?

Other than that, here’s about 168 more options:

[LSA Course Guide](<a href=“U-M Weblogin - Stale Request”>U-M Weblogin - Stale Request)

I’ve taken 407/490 but now its a pass/fail class…if you want the credit for the Gpa, you have to take another one credit class…which isn’t worthit.

And somedude person, are all of those easy though? Because qwertykey has that long list but some of the seminar classes aren’t as easy as they look/are restricted to certain majors and class standings…

You could also check out grad level classes that are just 1 or 2 credits. Many have something like 5 openings for people outside the dept. and they allow undergrads to take those seats. A lot of grad level classes are curved to an A- so they’re easy. A lot of them will be 1.5 credits, and they’re put on a quarter system (so they only last half a semester).

I just searched the LSA courseguide lol…there are 0 1/1.5/2 credit grad classes offered. Hmm. Looks like I’ll end up taking some BS GeoSci class haha…

if u like math u can take math 289. its pretty demanding btw. but not hard to get A if u work.

^i just checked, Djordje Milicevic is teaching the math289 seminar next term,it’s a 1 credit hr class, but judging from previous student’s comments, he’s really tough. Do u have any experience with him?

ps the putnam competition looks sick.

^If you had trouble in 286 (honors diff eq) or below, you probably would get killed in 289.

hm i think i can handle 216/286, but wat do u really do in a seminar ? i dont wanna spend 4-5 hrs on hw for a 1 credit class… hows it like?

Well, you can easily spend more than 4 hours on the problem sets. Typically the people in the class love math and don’t mind trying to do the entire problem set (and finding multiple solutions for the same problem) even though solving all of the problems is not required. Unfortunately, it really doesn’t sound like the right class for you. Certainly, this class doesn’t belong anywhere near the ‘easy 1 or 2 credit classes’ category.

Hey guys, I had to mention this. I’m in 289 right now, and apparently of Djordje’s students told him about this topic and 289 being mentioned, and he laughed and pretty much said “stay away from this if you’re looking for an easy one credit class.”.

I am taking something about how rock music is responsible for the fall of communism in poland.
