I mean, the breadth requirements are there so that you can enrich your whole learning experience while at Berkeley.</p>

<p>An adviser recommended to me to do P/NP for breadth. Then you can enjoy the class for educational value without worrying about the grade.</p>
<p>The breadth classes are relatively easier than the more technical courses, so anything that can boost your gpa is usually taken for a letter grade.</p>
