What are some of the easier, less workload classes?

So110
En9

SO110 is like AP stat right?

and no one has answered my question yet... is EN9 business-y or engineering-y?

business-y

Brown is really hard. You aren't going to be able to find too many easy classes, and if you're going with the approach of finding easy classes, you arent' going to really enjoy yourself.

I'd reccomend finding a class you really like and then taking it S/NC to make it easier.

Not to kick a dead horse, but I just some easy classes to get my confidence back.

I’d fail a shoe-tying class if there were a time limit right now.

Any suggestions?

Soc 150. Take home essays and easy grading:) But I think all the classes that were suggested can only be taken in fall…

The Critical Review should be able to give you a sense of what your peers found easy or challenging. It’s not always accurate (my freshman year, it said CS19 required very little work outside of class, and it was the exact opposite), but it is useful. With that said, what one person finds easy might not be easy for others. I’d find math 10 easy, but lots of people don’t. On the other hand, a lot of people would find chem 33 easy but I’d struggle.

A course in something you love is more likely to be “easier” than something you detest, though not necessarily.

Econ710 is pretty easy (Accounting). There were three tests, all multiple choice, and lots of curving. Probably the easiest class I’ll take. It was also interesting and I learned a lot! It is offered in the fall and spring…but the only downside is the time: MW from 6-7:20 pm. We ended up getting out by 7 most of the time and the professors were really funny and related their experience in the field to the class. (Get it with D’Andrea/Sciuto)

Chem33 I would say may be easy for some (for most it isn’t very easy though), but for all it is a lot of work (whether the work be busy work or challenging). You have 3 hours of class a week, plus a 1 hour prelab, and a 4 hour lab. The 4 hour lab requires you to make a lab report for the previous week, prepare the new lab in your notebook and take a quiz on it. On top of that, you’re going to need to do some work for the class. IMO, it wasn’t too hard but it ended up being a lot more work (like 8 hours of lab stuff per week between lab/preparing lab notebook/doing lab reports).

is chem 33 like the first level chem, or is it upperlevel chem?

It’s second semester (Gen Chem), but typically those who have taken high school chemistry place into it.
