i know there is no such thing as an "easy" class at cal...
but i dont want to overwhelm myself 1st semester nor do i want to
take ONLY 13 units..
so i was wondering.. does anyone know of classes that are relatively easy
to get a good grade in and not too stressful but at the same time fun/interesting ??

so far ive heard that nutritional sciences 10 and psych 1 are pretty easy..

something to look at if you are in L&S would definitely be the Discovery courses offered...the science ones (at least Astro 10 and Physics 10) are only 3 units.

I haven't heard that either of those classes were easy, but i think that they are quite interesting. The easiest would probably those classes whose subject matter you are already familiar with. If you took ap psych, then psych II or I would probably be pretty easy, although it depends on the instructor and his or her homework policy, your gsi and his or her homework policy, and much more. Basically, if i knew any easy classes, i would tell you, but they dont' really exist, so stick to low unit counts and be happy. 13-15 units is the best way to be first semester.

the physics for future presidents is a discovery course that I will probably take this semester. Of course classes are not "easy", but certainly the discovery classes are "easier" because they are meant for non-majors.

I don't know if i agree that they will be easier just becuame they are meant for non-majors, but perhaps i'm just naive or hoping that my school wouldn't water down subjects for some people. I don't know, it's probably some third possibility.

Soc 1 is pretty easy; it's a misconception that Astro 10 is easy. It's kind of hard for nonscience majors. I think the easiest class I've heard of is nutri sci 10.
