jsyoo7–do you happen to go to IMSA? (illinois math and science academy…for all those wondering…

shatender: why would anyone be wondering what school I go to?

Shatender meant if they were wondering what IMSA stood for.

IP, you have some nerve. I was not being rude. I was simply stating a point that has been made time and time again by various posters on this board. I think it was pretty obvious what I was saying and I felt there was no need to rehash an entire debate, which can be found in many, many threads on CC. As a person who is already in a program and who has applied to several, I have offered some helpful advice on this board (including to you!). I have every right to assert my opinion and I will continue to.

I dont think the words “easy” and “med program” can even exist together. I mean you are expected to have high gpa, high SATs/ACTs, bring in extracurriculars like volunteer, research, shadowing that a majority of high schoolers dont even have a chance to do, and somehow “prove” to the medical school that you are 100% sure you will go into medicine. obviously, the word “Easy” seems quite relative, so i mean i guess the programs that prefer instate students- assuming you are also consider instated for that school- might be a tad easier; but seriously, if you have been to one of those interviews, it is just brutal-group interviews, interview with a two or 3 doctors. but good luck to you guys and gals.
