Easy courses for requirements

Ok, I've looked at alot of the courses for requirements and a lot of them are about stuff im just plainly not interested in. Im going into the school of business so tahts my main focus...any one heard of any easy classes...I really want to concentrate on business instead of all this gen. ed. stuff.

I think u have to take those gen. ed. classes. It's required...

I'd think someone who's smart enough to get into the Business school would realize this.

Which requirements do you want to know about? You could list out the classes you have in mind and then I could tell you which ones are known as being easier than others.

LOL I agree with you bear. I totally agree with you on that. So true...

Yeah i know that they are required, im not a moron....but for every requirement they give you a list of A LOT of different classes you could take....for example to fulfill your english requirement they give you like a list of 100 courses....I was just asking for any specifics on which ones to choose...

I see gasior. To me, you just take the classes that are most appealing to you.

Like this year in my senior year, we were allowed to choose which 2 English classes we would take this year. Some people decided to take classes like Media Analysis because they heard from others that it was supposed to be an easy class.

Well I just decided to take classes that appealed to me or just chose a class that was the least hated class for me out of the bunch.

Moral is, don't choose based on other people's opinions, choose classes based on your own views on it.

well...put it this way. I'm guessing since you were able to get into Business you had a great ACT score and the last time I checked, if you got a 31 or higher on the English part you are exempt from Composition I, so you don't have to worry about English for now.

Can't give you the easy or hards but can give some tactical advice, particularly if you want to minimize the number of gen-ed courses you take. You will see that among the campus gen-ed requirements are 6 hours humanties/arts, 6 hours social sciences, 3 hours western culture, 3 hours non-western culture, and 3 hours advanced composition. That supposed 21 hours can actually be met by taking only 12 hours of courses. The reason is that there are a number of courses that will qualify as meeting two of the requirements, e.g., humanities and western culture, and even some that meet three. As a result, with careful choices you can complete the entire 21 hour requirement by taking only 4 three hour courses. So if you want to minimize the gen-ed courses you have to take don't go looking for what is easy but instead for courses that meet multiple requirements.

college of business has specific requirements that are not the same as the rest of UIUC

Black Dance Popular Culture is on the list of classes that can fulfil the non-western studies requirement.... anybody know anything about this class? i think itd be fun.. ahah!
