"Easy" Courses

Are there any relatively "easy" courses? Let's say, in a life or death situation, you had to get a 3.5 or higher in 4 courses (one being a composition one), which 4 courses would you pick?

I didn’t think any of my Northwestern courses were “easy.”

Avoid the engineering/mat/economics courses if you don’t need them (unless you love quantitative material.)

Some of the “easy” fields such as some area studies and social science departments have a lot of reading and required essays.

If you’re just starting out, do intro classes. Intro to psych and intro to sociology were relatively easy.

The Sciences(Not necessarily easier than the social sciences, but you have to take at least one of these anyways, so here are the easiest ones):
Plant and People Interactions
Modern Materials and Society
Geological Hazards
Diversity of Life

Math:
Intro to Logic

RTVF:
Analysis of Performance

SESP:
Intro to Organizational theory

Intro to Music is an easy Lit. distro. and I definitely second Mat Sci 101 (Modern Materials & Society).

I second Diversity of Life.

I forgot to mention I’m in SCS - so most of these courses aren’t listed there. There’s Intro to psych/sociology but that is about it from what you all have mentioned.

[Course Listings for the School of Continuing Studies of Northwestern University](http://www.scs.northwestern.edu/courses/)

How about these science courses?
The Human Brain
Genetics and Evolution
Human Physiology
Concepts of Biology

Thanks!

Why are you picking courses based on what’s “easy,” rather than by what interests you or which have the best professors?
Personally, I always recommend picking courses by the best profs, and NU’s CTEC system makes that much easier than at a lot of other schools.
An “easy” course with a bad prof will be torture; a “hard” course with a great prof is a joy.

Intro to Logic varies in difficulty. When I took it, I found it incredibly easy. But that was me. Most people found it hard. It’s easy for getting a math credit and you’re not good at math, hard otherwise (potentially, I’ve been told it’s easier now).
Def. take Mat. Sci. 101

Genetics and Evolution is fairly easy, to the point where you don’t need to go to class. Not that I really advocate that, but seriously…

Any other feelings on this subject? I’m horrible at science and looking for an easy distro for SoC. Unfortunately, everybody is talking about Bio Diversity of Life, but the CTECs don’t seem to say the same things the students are.

Sound Patterns in Human Speech (Ling 250)

Just ■■■■■ ctecs.
