Easy Elective for Freshman

My son attended orientation Sunday - Tuesday of this week and he is an exploratory major but with interest in Athletic Training. He met with advisers on Tuesday and they only had him sign up for 4 classes (English, Algebra, Nutrition and Psychology). Looking at the map for Athletic Training, he should have an elective to give him a total of 15 credits for the fall semester. Any suggestions on an easy elective he could take?

Thanks!

PEM 1121: Stretch & Relaxation. It doesn’t get any easier than this course!

@Tallalassie - wow that sounds perfect. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Tallalassie - I looked it up and PEN1121 is beginning swimming. Might be too easy as my son is a swimmer! lol

Bowling is fun. Met quite a few awesome people there my freshman year and still hang out with them!

M! PEM 1121 is relaxation course, PEN 1121 is swimming.

Swimming course would be a good course certainly for anyone at FSU who can’t swim. Everyone in Florida needs to be able to at least know how to tread in water, and also understand water safety.

Oh!! I read that wrong. Let me take a look.

As for the swimming course - my son is a life guard. lol

They have a bowling class? What is the course number?

Looks like Bowling is PEL1111

If you want to see what a good number of the courses like Bowling, Stretching & Relaxation, etc are that are offered, do a Course Search under the Sports Management department.

Is that PEM1121 an A-F class or S/U? Sounds like an amazing class!

Depending on what happens this semester, I might need some BS in the Spring to move up the “degree with distinction ladder”

PEM1121 is S/U. I took it. We met twice per week for a little over an hour each session. Some in my class got burned when the instructor gave them unsatisfactory grade for semester for missing more than 3 classes. They got too relaxed in relaxation class and got bit with a “U” grade!
