Yo, incoming freshman here. For you upperclassmen, lets help each other out yeah?
Please post easy GE courses that you've taken your freshman year. anything will help :] thanks in advance!

searchsearchsearch

Don't worry about this yet. The course lists aren't available for fall quarter yet. What do you want to study? Did you look at the lower-division requirements for your course of study? Your Orientation Counselors will recommend that you take 2 courses related to your major and 1 GE class... I think this is a bit different if you're an engineering major since they have a very rigid set of courses that they must take.

1) Figure out your major's lower-division courses.
2) Figure out which ones you will probably take fall quarter.
3) Wait for Fall 2007 course schedule.
4) Search through the forum and look for the Easy GE List (there's a fat thread lying around somewhere... dormant)
5) Use BruinWalk!
6) Finally, ask specific questions about which GE you should take (Should I take Phy Sci 5 with that-guy-spring07 or should I take Geo 5-with-Burnett-who-is-rumored-to-be-easy?)

Some Easy GEs:
Music History 135B (I had Professor Paulin... it seems that the Musicology department rotates their professors around the different MH classes... If you can, take whatever MH class with Paulin.)
SEASIAN - 1 (Woods)

Other Easy GEs that were mentioned:
Arts & Arch 10

yadadaada search forum

Easy GE's:

Ditto on Arts & Arch 10
French 41 - two essays, one final and that's all. Write good essays, study everything before the final and you're good.

Astr 3 w/ McClean - simply the best teacher ever! He gives so much extra credit, his tests are insanely easy and off the homework/book/lecture notes it's really hard NOT to get at least a B+ in the class. Also, labs are LONGGGG, but generally easy if you just ask the TA whatever questions you don't understand.

German M70 - very interesting class. Stevens is a really funny teacher. Keep up with readings and you're fine ;D

Phy Sci 5 w/ Roberts - totally worth your time. Who doesn't want to know about how to improve their diets and how they exercise? Roberts is a great lecturer and will make you feel so bad that every time you look at those desserts beneath that glass door, you'll turn the other way.

I disagree on Phy Sci 5 being easy. Check out Roberts reviews on Bruinwalk. I'm taking it now, and while it's not a hard science class, the exams are very difficult.

Some easy Courses.
