What’s an easy major to get admitted to Emory?
none…they do not admit by major. They can see through fakeness as they’ll compare the academic interests you listed to your essays and likely your academic record. Just keep it real and you’ll do better. Since everyone is admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences (there are variances at many of the private peers where you can apply to different schools such as an engineering, business, music school, etc). Expectations are the same for all students and in the end, they either like you or not. Checking a certain interest/major will not enhance your chance unless it comes through as a true interest. The only difference (hardly) is between Oxford and Emory admissions.
@bernie12 Hi, can you please tell me more about the anthropology major. I see on some post that Emory is more “biological anthropology”. I took biological anthropology in Duke Summer School and got credit. However,I find myself more interested in Cultural Anthropology and all my ECs are about Cultural study. Will that help my admission? Thanks!
Emory is good at both of them despite the bio slant (keep in mind that social sciences and depts like religion are really strong at Emory). If your ECs were good and clearly meant something/demonstrated a passion or many accomplishments, of course it will help regardless of what field it was in.
