Easy majors?

I know there are a few majors in Penn State (University Park) that are hard to get into, like nursing, business, etc

I was wondering what majors are easier to get into? communications? undecided?

Thank you!

Everyone is applying undecided. I’m getting nervous because I think that may actually make undecided harder to get into

I applied at the Smeal College of Business and I’m nervous I won’t get in… I thought I could re-apply into undecided if thats the case because I want to go to Penn State so badly. Now I don’t know which majors would be the best choice as backup :/

What do you want to major in?

the more “competitive” majors are engineering and business, but you don’t officially declare your major until your sophomore year. Major in what makes you happy, not something you only want because it’s the easy way out. Applying undecided is the best option, since they have the most spots.

@bmc2639‌ - if that were to happen to you then ask to have your application to be reconsidered for DUS. Don’t worry at that point about picking a major. This would only work if you were given a branch option as admission.

60% of students change their major; some 3-4 times. Even on the day we went in for New Student Orientation Day
(NSO) to registar for classes, PSU said that 8% of the students there that day would change their major. They must have repeated that at least 3 times throughout the day. Basically, that it was okay to change your mind.
