Which is the best World Cultures or Conv of west course?

World Cultures: Caribbean is a great course and not that hard. I got an A- and didn't do that much work compared to my friends in other World Cultures, there are like some small things to read weekly for recitation and four or five books where you have to write an essay, which is graded moderately. As long as you read the books thoroughly and bring up interesting topics you'll get good marks on the essay. There is a final test, all written, not too hard. The professor (Aisha Khan) was great, very friendly, although sometimes she would go a little too slow just to make sure we all absolutely got it. Discussions were frequent in class but not mandatory or anything. Fair amount of films on the Caribbean and Jamaica, as well as listening to reggae and watching documentaries on the Rastafarian movement and Ethiopia. I realize this reply is probably a little late for this semester, but just for future knowledge...

I also took Energy and the Environment through the MAP program. Trace Jordan was one of the best teachers I've ever had. Take without question if you can. Not too difficult either.

I'm taking the Expressive culture class on graphics novel in the summer... not sure how hard it's going to be though (but at least more out of the ordinary!)

i've heard that "the body: how it works" and "quarks to cosmos" were pretty easy nat sci classes, though i've never taken either so your mileage may vary

i took quarks to cosmos last semester. I guess it really depends on which professor you get, but mine made all the tests based on homework questions. It was an easy A, and going to lecture really wasn't necessary.

body and how it works was pretty easy. a little memorization and easy labs.
