Can someone tell me the answer by setting up an equation?
It was on my Math A Regent yesterday. I don't remember the exact question but I know the important information. If I am leaving something out let me know.

Children tickets are $2.00 each
Adult tickets are $5.00 each
A total of 295 tickets were sold
The total amount was $1220.00

How many of each were sold? Solve by setting up an equation.

lol
Yeah, I got the same answer from trial and error. Well, I guess I won't get full credit for that one because it says only an algebraic expression will recieve full credit :( . Also, I really hope they do not take off points because I did not write the words "Stem" and "Leaf" on my Stem and Leaf diagram, I created.

Other than that, I think I did really well.

I think this is one of the harder quesions on the regents. I took it last year and found it ridicuosly easy (not to offend anyone who had a hard time with it), and finished in under an hour when we had 3 hours to take it. We were overprepared, so most of the class had a 100.

i recommend you just stop focusing at the problem and look at it as if its an impresionest painting, relax your mind, then u see the bigger picture.

They are just standarized tests. They are given in all subject areas including foreign language. Apparently, they don't count that much for college, but you need to take them in order to graduate high school. Overall, they are pretty easy.
