Easy math question - need help

Ok, this question seems really easy but none of the choices are what im coming up with.

Question: Expressed in millions of people, what was the average growth per year for female us workers age 16 or over from 2004 to 2006, rounded to the nearest 0.1 million?

2004 - 60
2005 - 61.0
2006 - 63.6

A.)0.5
B.)0.9
C.)1.3
D.)1.8
E.)3.6

im getting like 1.5 for some reason :/ someone explain to me how to do this please

You do 1.0 + 2.6, which is 3.6. Then you divide that by 2 and you get 1.8
There were only two years of change, which is why you divide by two. The change from the first year to the second is 1.0 and from the second to third year is 2.6.

63.6 - 60 = 3.6 (million). This growth occurred over two years, so the average growth rate is 1.8 million/year.

Wow, for some reason i was doing 4.6/2 -___- i always make little mistakes haha thank you guys!!
