Which math upper division courses are the easiest? and which ones are the hardest that I should avoid? Thanks !

115A and 116 are easy.

how’s math 135

Didn’t take it and don’t know anyone that did :P

Diff eq wasn’t my strong point either, so I wouldn’t be a very good source.

Math 170A isn’t that bad. Math 170B is more difficult.

how is math 170A compare to math 115AH? And is math 115AH substantially harder than math 115A?

math 132 is easy

Math 142 was pretty easy and a really interesting class.

Has anyone here taken Math 106?

I just noticed that next year’s schedule is up online … and there don’t seem to be any conflicts in what I was planning!

I don’t see the schedule… where did you find it?

From what I heard it’s a simple class, where you just memorize proofs for cool stuff throughout history. You should be fine in it.

Ah I see it, it is only the math department.

Damn, wish the whole UCLA one would come out >.>

Anyone know MATH 180 COMBINATORICS?

180 was really easy in W09 when I took it with Gieseker (sp?), and it was a really fun class. I probably enjoyed the graph theory a bit more, and would have loved to cover more in it like the 4-color theorem and some applications.

Is 132 actually easy? I’m planning on taking it in spring.
