I wasn't planning on taking the ACTs, but i heard there was a science section, so i decided to do some practice questions to see if it was worth attempting. The questions i did were insanely easy, and barely took any thinking. i didnt do a particularly broad range of questions tho..

so im wondering: are the acts easy or hard? worth taking or no?

The science section is the hardest for most people, not because of difficulty of questions, but because there is such a strict time limit. I would look into that if I were you.

I personally found the ACT to be pretty easy (34 first try, no studying), but it really depends on the person.

haha i figured itd be the time limit that got you in the end..
i didnt find it took me long to answer the questions, but it required a bit of effort to read the information it gives you, which you pretty much have to read to answer the questions.

Keep in mind that practice questions usually are easier than the real thing, unless they come from an official ACT practice test.

If you are good at reading figures and graphs and finding details quickly, then you will do well on the ACT science section. Some of the questions are really easy, while others are deliberate tricks.

Some people do really well on the ACT and bomb the SAT. Some rock the SAT and cringe at the thought of taking the ACT. It's simply a matter of preference.
