I'm pretty much taking summer courses that run from 10am through 4pm with an hour for lunch at noon. Where can I take a nap without people staring at me or bothering me? I want to also start packing a lunch to save money. I live too far to get back to my apartment to do both. Legitimate question, not trolling haha

Librararary. Go to that one place right next to the Doe entrance from el Glade. Or just sleep anywhere. I curled up on a Dwinelle bench once because I was tired as fuuuuuu. :D

Do you need me to tell you what to pack for lunch as well?
Sandwiches are best. PB&J, except without the J so it’s healthier.

momma batman…

sleep anywhere…we have hobos in Berkeley, its normal.

i meant comfortable as well though. the library doesnt have comfy chairs and theres no food or drinks allowed either. its raining today so outside is not an option

i sleep on sproul benches sometime. and make an f u face to anyone who stares. i dont care if the bums do it-its because they are comfy benches dammit. (when its sunny, that is)

i also like the couches they have in the back of the biosci lib in vlsb. great for naps

let me narrow my question down. quiet, comfortable, and no people. Name that place! I’m also 6 feet, I need to be able to stretch out

Go to Morrison library if you want to take naps… Its in Doe library (enter through the side facing memorial glade… They have plenty of couches (and long sofas), and you can always fine students sleeping there. (That’s the main activity in that library) :)

“let me narrow my question down. quiet, comfortable, and no people. Name that place! I’m also 6 feet, I need to be able to stretch out”

I’ll answer your question: go to Engineering library. There is also a comfy footrest and you will fall asleep instantly when you lie on that sofa. Perfect place to get a quality power nap.

thanks everyone, i’m going to try each one out and give a full review of each haha. Slackers.

You can also lay on me too. Only if you’re a girl though.

Chemistry Library. Open 9am-5pm. Comfy chairs everywhere with large conference rooms. Pretty deserted and you’ll have some peace and quiet. Make 2-3 variety dishes on Sunday with some sort of grain food (like pasta, rice) with two types of vegetables, one type of meat. If you make a stock amount, you’ll get through the week just fine. That’s what I did last year, but now I just eat out because I’m leaving Berkeley in a few days =P

I’m not a chick, but I’m as soft as one if you’re still offering ^^. I buy pasta with a ton of parmesan cheese and eat it as is with gallons of water. I ended up spending only $20 a week on food, without eating out. However, I developed scurvy and somehow the bubonic plague followed shortly after. I graduate in a year, and I want to hit all of the food places in and around Cal by the time I leave, but it requires $$$ and I figure I can save money by not having to buy snacks and drinks, and eating less if I’m packing a lunch. Thanks all.

Also, I mentioned I was 6 feet tall and needed to stretch out. Did you think my name was Olga?

If your last name was Kurylenko, then sure.

It’s Olga Schwarzenegger. Still interested?
