I have many friends at UCLA and they all tell me that the food is good there. And I have friends at other places like UCSD who hates their food. I heard at UCLA, it's not the freshman 15 but the freshman 115

...that is one of the more ::ahem:: unwelcome aspects of having your dining halls with an all-you-can-eat setup lol

But the good thing is that walking from the residence halls (especially Hedrick) to the main campus is good exercise. That'll take off some of the weight from the good food.

Am I the only one who actually lost weight after coming to UCLA?

apparently - we can't all be as perfect as you, flopsy

lol

For my brief stay (6 weeks) at UCLA this summer, all the walking to campus and to Westwood from Hedrick, I lost a few pounds (I'm not fat, but not exactly fit either). Plus, all the swimming you can do at Sunset Recreation area near Hedrick (I think it's called Sunset...).

yea actually if u live in hedrick, which is relatively far from campus, you might lose some weight haha

ahhh Sunset rec sounds like a damn good idea right now, but I bet the pool is closed... it's so hot here; my side of dykstra is like an oven - should've picked a room on the other side.

Do you get to choose which hall to stay in when you are accepted? And when do you get housing information?

If I'm accepted, I would love to stay in the new North Rieber or Hedrick Summit, but I'm unsure if I get to choose.

you get to put down a list of your choices, but no you don't get to choose. You will whe you come back for your second year.

Awesome. But by your second year, you could stay in De Neve though, right?

well, assuming you got an early enough priority number, yes. It all depends on how quickly it fills up and when your enrollment time is. De Neve and Sproul fill up very quickly, and Dykstra as well.
