Can the eating clubs accommodate a member who has dietary restrictions for medical reasons that prevents him from eating the regular menu?

Short answer, yes. Unless those dietary restrictions are completely ridiculous (in terms of the time necessary to prepare the food/severity of restriction/really expensive to accommodate). But even then, you might just need to pay a bit extra.

What type of food do they give? Is it like… restaurant quality?

most clubs can accommodate most diets-- I knew people with peanut allergies etc. You will probably want to look into how accommodating each club is and how much variety of food you will have before deciding where to join. In terms of quality it depends on the club and on the night. Most places are usually slightly below restaurant quality, but way above dining hall quality.

The restriction is celiac disease - nothing with wheat, rye, barley. So no pizza, no pasta, etc. It probably would mean cooking something special at times.
