eBay or amazon

Which one do you shop on eBay or amazon? Which on do prefer amazon or eBay?

I have been an Amazon shopper since 2008. I prefer Amazon. I remember I use to buy baseball cards off of ebay when I was younger.

I prefer half.com which is part of ebay. I found it was cheaper.

Amazon! The prime shipping is wonderful! I also like the video service. The organization of the site is superior to ebay. I’m also not a huge fan of the bidding concept.

Amazon is more reliable. I don’t trust Ebay

^ ditto, I have heard bad stories about buying things on Ebay. Also Amazon gives free two day shipping for students!

I prefer Amazon. For one, Amazon Prime is free for students for a year. Also, I feel that Amazon is more trustworthy.

I prefer Amazon, and I use it way more because I do survey sites in my free time and earn Amazon gift cards/
I sell on ebay, and will occasionally buy… but I just don’t like how long the process can take if it’s an auction only… at least with Amazon it usually ships the next day if not the day you order it depending on how often the seller is online.

I’m going to be a freshman and I’m wondering how can I use my financial aid (loan or grant) to buy books online? I think I get my aid until Sept

On which one do you guys usually find good quality for a cheaper price?

wanna know a perk about amazon? you can use your college email to register for 1 year of amazon prime, change your net id at your university, and use that new id to register for another year of free amazon prime. I didn’t get caught yet, so there.

Ebay is not bad, as long as you stick to american retailers. I’ve bought some bike accessories from overseas sellers, and their product is total crap.

@ californiangal. Open a up a student bank account[if you don’t have one already], take out a debit card, go to the financial aid office and tell them you’re interested in getting financial aid, direct deposit. After they do what ever it is that they do, the fin aid will then go to that debit card and you can use that card where ever Master Card/Visa is accepted, including but not limited to, online like Amazon, or stores like Barnes And Noble.

In NYC, CUNY offers a Citi prepaid card for CUNY students. It’s called Scholar Support “CUNY’s Financial Aid Access Card”. It’s a Master Card debit card, I signed up for it and have it right here. So my fin aid will go to this card. Check with your school, maybe they have something similar. Or just do what I said in the first paragraph, it’s all the same.

Amazon if you’re buying US editions, eBay if you’re buying international.

I prefer international editions, but lately I’ve been contemplating a tablet, since a couple people keep advocating it. Might give it a shot.

Two different animals.

Depends on what you’re buying.

Amazon just seems easier to use and the shipping is always really fast!

I love Amazon! They have everything and you can easily compare prices.

I usually go with Amazon for most stuff, but recently, for textbooks, I have been using cheapesttextbooks.com to compare textbook prices and usually go with the cheapest offer, even if it’s from a website that I had never used before… and it’s worked out.

When I have more cash than I will use, I will usually go buy an Amazon giftcard when I am near a CVS. I prefer not to use my debit card.

The majority of the stuff I buy is from Amazon these days since I can usually find a better deal than in stores or on other websites.

Oh, and I only had to spend about $20-30 dollars on books for this upcoming semester after selling old ones back.

If I can’t find a rental of it, I’ll use Amazon for sure. I’ve only ever used half.com (related to eBay) for books I personally wanted to read.

I really like the review system. There are so many reviews that you always know what you’re getting. my local bike store overcharges on pretty much everything, so I get basically all my stuff from Amazon.

I pretty much only use ebay if I know exactly what I’m looking for, and sometimes it has listing that are below msrp that you can take advantage of.
