Ebay problem

So I ordered an authentic Nazi combat uniform off ebay for 1.25. I assume nobody wants to be reminded of Nazi stuff during the winter holidays, so I was able to win it for such a low price.

However, it seems like the seller was sour that I won it for so low and doesn't want to sell it to me. I feel kind of sorry for him, because the item is worth over 100 dollars. However, I feel like I played by the rules and scored a really good deal, and should be rewarded. The auction lasted for 4 days, and I was the highest bidder the entire time.

How should I proceed? Should I get ebay on his tail?

He is required to give you the item for whatever price the auction ended at. If he had set a reserve to begin with, he would not have this problem.

You could always be nice and send him $1.50 though… ;)

You should try e-mailing him first. If he’s unresponsive, let eBay (and paypal, if you paid through them) know. If the seller did not set a reserve price, it is his fault.

^wow. I would have been like oops I misplaced it.

The seller probably set a reserve price if its really worth $100 dollars. ebay also can’t force the seller to sell the item.

The guy made a mistake and forgot to set the minimum. He could be breaking the rules, but I doubt he would send me the uniform even if he was.

I decided to just let him keep the uniform, and asked to be refunded 1.25 + 10 bucks shipping.
