I wanted to ask here before I annoy somebody at the Health Office. So I waived the UCSHIP insurance and it still showed up on my ebill. Should I wait and see what happens or should I talk to someone. If so, who? Health Department or some other office? please and thank you

Call ASAP! That’s a ton of money to mess around with. Call the Health Office first to be sure that it was waived, then call whomever is in billing and make sure they take it off.

If you waived and it was successful then you’ll get a check in the mail later on with your money back. I guess the deadline for waivers and to pay is so closed they don’t have time to take off that charge from all the people who waived billing statements but they will give your money back. They have for me that last two years.

wait I’m a little confused. Do I have to pay the bill right now, even though I didn’t get my financial aid, and I will be paid back with financial aid? Or do I just wait?

It wasn’t on my bill :-/ Only cruz-care was. So I think you should call them and BE SURE first of what they’re doing. Zabdullah: you have to make a payment before 9/15. It says on the bottom of my bill “pending financial aid is ___________ amount”. Directly above it says that you take the __________ amount and subtract it from your total bill. If you arn’t paying through sallie mae (like me), you have to send the mail a printed copy of your bill (which will show financial aid) and your check for however much. Just to be sure, call and ask the next business day.

alright here is just an update to whoever has the same problem: The ebill was sent out a lot earlier than when the health office anticipated, and most of the insurance waivers were not applied to the bills. give it time, and if it is not off the bill in a week or so, call the student business center.

^/thread

When doing the waiver it said allow 10 business days for the fees to be taken care of
