Hi everyone. I am outlining the EC section for the commonapp, and I’ve just realized they have a 150 char limit on the honors won. In my case I had to use 4 activities slots just to list my violin awards and achievements, and 2 for math achievements. I’ve also heard that it’s bad to send an activities resume; maybe for this case it is an exception? Because honestly 150 characters to explain an activity isn’t enough for many cases; (American Invitational Mathematics Examination… yeah this is such a pain for character count…) Do you guys have any advice?
Yup, but the good thing is everyone is in the same boat. Try to be as brief and succinct as possible. IMHO I would not use up 4 activity slots for violin.
Lots of kids send activity resumes. If you feel like you need to do that, then go ahead.
