(I posted this already over at College Admissions but I didn't get any help so here goes again)
I want to study film/tv at UT Austin but I cant find any admission stats anywhere for the program so Im really scared about getting in. Im almost certain I can get into UT with my grades but its the major Im worried about because I dont have really any experience in the field.

Info about me:
Texas resident
GPA uw: 3.9
Rank: 12 out of 800 something students (top 2%)
SAT: 2040 (I know it's pretty low- I'm working on it
)
PSAT: 186 freshman year and 201 sophomore year. Haven't gotten my score from this year yet
I'll have taken 12 AP classes and 14 Honors/Pre-AP classes by the time I graduate

My current ECs are:
Debate Team - secretary
Interact
HOSA - 1st place at regionals last year (not sure how much this matters since its a health club)
UIL Academics - Social Studies and Literary Criticism
100+ volunteer hours (at an animal clinic and school events)
Last summer I attended a pre-college program at Rice
Im also applying for a film workshop for high-schoolers at NYU this summer and if I don't get accepted I'll most likely go to the one offered by UT

I thought about starting a film club but Im not sure if its too late for it to make a difference on my resume since Ill be in it for only a year??

My family is very low income and theyre not exactly supportive of my career choice, so getting my hands on a camera or finding time to work on anything film related has been near impossible for the last few years. Im really scared that I wont get in because I feel like Im the only kid that hasnt made a short film. I need some advice on building up my ECs so its clear that Im serious about film.

Do yall have any ideas for some entertainment-related things I could do in the next year that could impress RTF admissions? (PS: I live in a small town, so my options are sort of limited for jobs during the school year, but I should be able to travel into Houston during the summer for jobs/internships/volunteer opportunities.)
If you don't know then could you please at least tell me my chances??
