Since no one would like to respond to my other post... :)

-Started a small business at school (profited $200 w/ $350 initial investment)
-Writing a historical fiction/mystery novel (15,000 words so far...still have the summer)

-Novel: 11th & 12th............~40 hours, but have a long way to go
-English Program: just started...........very few hrs

-McDonald's 10th & 11th & 12th (doesn't count...goes under work experience)

DEFINITELY the Business stuff and your work with China and teaching Chinese! The compassion you show with your Chinese is something colleges will love.
And I personally think its very cool + unique.

Maybe submit a strong, clear excerpt from that novel as a supplement?

And I'm sure you could combine your CC projections with your time spent in CC/Track as an athlete. Academic and athletic! Two birds, one stone, you know...

It's pretty good. Very, very good. Excellent, in fact.

But I guess the weak part would be your athletics. JV CC and Track is not very impressive I guess. And fantasy baseball? Come on, I don't care if you win some national competition or anything, it's fantasy baseball! It's like me winning a Madden Tournament- who cares? I sure as hell wouldn't put it on my application.

In my school we have like 10 guys who basically live in the library and are always in some corner of the room updating their fantasy roster... I just want to go and smack them upside the head and say, "Get a freaking life!"

But everything else is very impressive, it's quite interesting the stuff you did in China with the orphanages.

Are you allowed to say you're writing a novel, even though it's not completed? I mean, I'm thinking about writing a play over the summer, but don't think I'll finish.
