<p>I emailed my EC on Sunday and he responded on Monday morning from his iPhone asking what school I go to. I responded promptly, he then didn't respond. I emailed him a reminder yesterday but he still hasn't responded. </p>
<p>I know he has an iPhone, so he probably already got my emails. Even if he hasn't gotten my reminder, he should have still gotten the email with my school. I'm confused with what to do as the deadline is approaching. Should I email the admissions office?</p>
<p>Wow, my EC actually stopped responding to me too. Fortunately we had already set up a date and time, but my friend actually had his EC stop responding before the interview was scheduled.</p>
<p>How common an issue is this?</p>
<p>It is not common, but up to a week’s silence does happen for a wide variety of reasons ranging from the unusual (the EC sadly died), to the mundane (a killer week at the office has the EC working hugely on other stuff). Personally, my laptop died and is being repaired this week. Thanks to my iphone, I know that I have had 4 requests for interview this week. I am waiting until I get my laptop back before I respond to any of them. Don’t stress about it.</p>
<p>The only thing I am scared about is not making the deadline for my interview. If he doesn’t respond, I won’t have much time to get another person and interview.</p>
<p>If you weren’t able to schedule an interview through no fault of your own, the normal deadlines for contacting your interviewer and for scheduling an interview can be waived. You don’t need to have the interview conducted by October 20, in any event.</p>
<p>Never mind, I got an interview scheduled. </p>
