Medical and Sciences
--Volunteering at Penrose Hospital (11-12)- At the Penrose hospital, I have accumulated 90 hours thus far (should be 130ish by November). Volunteering here has been instrumental to my life. Not only am I able to interact with the patients, but I am also able to make a difference in their lives. From bringing these patients their foods to helping them get out of bed, I have become an integral part of the community here at Penrose Hospital.
--I have created my website named www.yourheartdisease.org (11-12)-Through my website, I am attempting to spread awareness about heart disease and I am trying to get money for the American Heart Association. My grandfather, a survivor of a heart attack, was the man who inspired me to make this website.
Will be a teen council member next year for my hospital(12)- As a teen council, I'll be able to help out the newcomers at the hospital.*
--Red Cross Club(10)- As a member of the Red Cross Club, I was a part of a club that wanted to make a difference around the world. One of the club’s major projects was to create a blood drive, in which I played an important part.

Reading and Writing
---Volunteer at Library(9-11)- Throughout my high school career, I have volunteered for two libraries. At my first library in Dallas, I volunteered for 80 hours. My responsibilities included helping kids pick out books and shelving books. At my second library in Colorado Springs, I spent 20 hours helping children read and spreading my love for reading.
Will be a sports writer for Bleacher Report (has millions of views each month) this month (11-12)*
Sports Writer- During 11th and 12th grade, I have written sports articles for several websites including thebestbasketballblog.com and dfnsports.com. At the latter, I am the official Dallas Cowboys sports writer.

Giving back to the Community
---Pennies for Peace fundraiser(10)- Here I was able to raise $250 for Greg Mortenson’s Pennies for Peace. I spent approximately 40 hours on this project and all of the money went to schools in the middle east.
---Helped out orphans in Pakistan(9)- In Pakistan, I would wake up early in the mornings and would go to the local orphanages Here I would pass out food to the kids and was in charge of taking care of the orphans. At one point, my group and I took the orphans to the beach, where I was in charge of getting all of the food and orphans organized.

Sports
---Basketball coach(9-12)- Throughout my high school career, I have coached many kids in a variety of places. For example, at a couple of summer basketball camps, I coached 5th and 6th grade boys and girls. I have spent approximately 25 hours coaching these and other kids.
---cofounder of the cricket club and the president of it(11-12)- With the Cricket Club, I took it as my responsibility to bring my culture to my school. I spent countless amounts of hours planning this club. As the president I will reach people how to play and will try to enter leagues around Colorado springs.

Academic
---Student Council Student Ambassador (9)- As a student council member, I helped represent the school when visitors came to visit. One instance was when my school sponsored “Cultural Day” in which I helped out as a representative of the school.
---NSHSS member( 9-12) NSHSS student Ambassador(11-12)- As an ambassador of NSHSS, I have the responsibility of spreading knowledge about scholarships and different academic contests for high school students
---Link Crew(12)- As a link crew leader, I have helped out Freshman get accustomed to the high school life. Not only have I given advice to the Freshman students, but I have also helped them get used to the speed of high school.
NHS(11-12)- pretty self explanatory.
Model UN (10)(cut?)
Spanish club (10)(cut?)

Job Experience
---Tutor for Math, Science, and Spanish(9-12)- Throughout 9th to 12th grade, I have spent 30 hours tutoring people in AP Biology, pre-calc, pre-calc 2, and Spanish. This has been a rewarding process, especially when I see my “students” getting A’s on their tests.
---Baby Sitting(9-12)- I have spent approximately 100 hours as a babysitter. This has given me a great amount of responsibility and leadership.

You have 10 spots on the common app, plus an additional information section where you can put the other 4 ECs. Organize them how you see fit. What are your passions? Organize them as such.

one can only put 4 on the additional info? Is this different than attaching an activities list? Thanks, and my passions are medical, reading/writing and sports.

That is an impressive list - I would list the 10 most important then put all of the others in an additional information sheet.

Thanks TheDuke55. Is there anything u would take out besides Spanish club and Model UN?
