EC Ideas

Hello,
I am interested in Economics and Management.
What are some ECs I could do that would be fun for someone interested in these subjects?
Thanks!

Also, can a mod move this to the proper forum? And/or let me know how to do it?
Thanks

Make a club. Make a youtube channel teaching the basics of economics. Hold some fairs…

Thanks for the tip Tyrtle!
I started the Young Entrepreneurs Club and I am actually creating a presentation on macroeconomics for my local Curriculum Fair.
Making a YouTube channel is a fantastic idea, thank you so much.

Bump and 10 chars.

Bump again

Have you ever heard of Junior Achievement? Check the web to see if there is a chapter in your area.

I would recommend starting a blog or trying to get an internship at a business firm. If you really like economics, try to save some money and start investing on your own. Starting a club is a good idea as well and also a ton of fun. Good luck!
Chance me?

Does your high school have a DECA chapter?

DECA[/url”>High School | DECA Inc.]DECA

You could look into starting one if it doesn’t.

For ECs think about things you like to do that are un related to what you want to study but you are still passionate about.

So, I have started my own Entrepreneurs Club (Independent from DECA or JA) as there are no chapters in my area. I am considering starting my own DECA chapter, but it seems pointless because then there would be two Entrepreneurship Clubs at my school, both led by me. Is it better or worse to have my own started Club or a nationally sponsored Club?
Thanks

I don’t know a lot about DECA (wasn’t at my kid’s school), but it looks like the national DECA organization gives you some framework for your club to work within and some activities/conferences/etc. you could get involved in. I will just say that it is way easier to run a club that has national resources behind it than one that does not. You could consult with your Entrepreneurship club members and discuss DECA, and decide if you want to migrate the club to a DECA chapter. I think there is nothing wrong with doing that, and could even be something you describe in your college app (started E. club, learned more about DECA and led your club through the transition to a DECA chapter because it has more resources, etc.). But if your current club is going gangbusters, has strong membership and a lot of activities, you could stick with that.
