Pfft, we're all that busy. I'm doing research (presenting at science fairs, JSHS, etc in a few weeks), playing guitar/managing my band, possibly volunteering in an abroad art school during the summer, writing for the school paper, volunteering in music therapy sessions, etc.

I like the small ECs a lot though. yay for environmental club that meets three times a year! lol

I have my main extra curriculars, like ballet, Quiz Team, volunteering with Community Action Team/in general, that take up considerable time. But I also have smaller ones like Ski Club, Math Team, Piano, and viola. I guess I have some depth with those ones too. I've been playing piano since I was 6, and playing viola and skiing from the age of 12. Well, oil painting. That's a minor one.

WHY DO YOU NEED YOUR ECS APPROVED BY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET?!?!?

Colleges care about ECs because they want to see WHAT. YOU. DO. WITH. YOUR. TIME. As in, HOW YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME. Not as in WHAT YOU THINK WILL LOOK GOOD. OR "FOCUSED ENOUGH."

Srsly, I really hope people like you don't get into college.

Trust me, as long as you show you have interests in your clubs, you're fine. If you have specific interests, like in science, don't join writing club so you look well-rounded. If you do have varying interests, the world is your oyster!
