<p>My daughter has one major EC that takes up most of her time (and that she has moved up the ranks as an officer) and a few minor ones. Her personal statement essay heavily references that EC. On the common app, there is also a short essay (150 words or less) which asks to elaborate on an EC.</p>
<p>Should she write about the same one or one of the minor ECs?</p>
<p>Whichever says more interesting things about her. If the major EC is impressive but also somewhat self explanatory, an essay on a more minor ec could add more to the app.</p>
<p>She should write about whatever makes the best essay, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t the major EC, unless it was already part of her primary essay.</p>
