EC relevance

Ever since I was 4 I've been playing soccer. I started out at the rec level and then worked myself up to the highest select/travel level. Even though I moved schools often I kept up with soccer, playing both club and high school (starting when I was in 8th grade). However, in the past year I've been diagnosed with an illness and due to family duties, moving again blah blah blah I had to stop. This totally crushed my heart. Being "that soccer girl" was/still is a HUGE part of my identity, and I felt a bit lost after I had to stop. It was one of the only constant things in my life during my moves and to lose it was pretty devastating. I've stayed involved with coaching a youth team this year, but unfortunately that's about the most I can do. I also won several awards/trophies during my time as a player. My question is: would it still be relevant to put it down even though I stopped playing junior year or should I still include it?

Coaching is a leadership position, so this still plays as an EC. Don’t make excuses for why you are playing, just emphasize your accomplishments.

@mitchklong thank you. So I can still list soccer and all the awards then?
