Hi. I am a junior in high school. I have not taken any sports in 9th and 10th grade. I am in numerous clubs and hold some office positions (secretary).
Do sports affect your chances into college? I am busy studying for the SAT and the school exams, I am not sure if I should do tennis this year or should I not consider it. Thanks.

I know that if you are a really good sports man and participate at many countests, then your chance of getting admitted are seriously increased :)

stick with what you love to do. sports is not a pre-requisite to getting into a top college, although its one of the many ways to show you're a dedicated and motivated person and a team-player. since you only get to life high school life once, my advice is to do what you want to do, and don't worry so much about college apps, since you already have leadership positions. perhaps it is even better to spend your time rising up the ranks in those leadership positions than diverting that time away on something that you haven't done in high school before. but perhaps you'll love playing tennis... although i do caution that since you haven't played h/s competitively, you might originally start out on the bench or remain on the bench... and being on varsity is more respectable than being on JV.

sports dont' help ...only if u get any award than it helps
i loved sports n played but cuz my teams were competitive i was jv for both sports...i believe it idndt help
