Did anyone have trouble listing all their EC's? For me, there wasn't enough room to list them or describe them. Any suggestions on what to do? I was thinking of uploading a page of additional information, but I'm not sure that would be appropriate based on their description on what it should be used for. Any suggestions? Thanks!

just put two in one line, seperating them with a semicolon.

stanford is picky. they don't want voluminous resumés and fancy attachments. give them the most meaningful stuff to you, what you think best describes YOU. thats all. don't just pick something because you think it looks good, pick stuff that shows who you are.

there IS a short essay about your favorite EC. Stanford specifically asks you to not send extra stuff. They also know how easy it is for us to found Pan-Asian/ex-Soviet Satellite Community Service study Club (not to imply that your list of ECs is inflated, but mine certainly is). Even if they are all legit, the more ECs you say you have, the more any school would doubt them.

they proviedd just the right number of spaces for me. I only wrote what I'm passionate about. I had 4 activities that I'm especilly proud of(Science and Eng. Club aka Robotics Club, Varsity Tennis, Research, and Debate Team) The other two were activities I cared a lot about but theyre kinda typical(math club, piano).

After doing two other apps, I feel like Stanford doesn't ask for much information at all. Everything on my app for Stanford feels so condensed. :-/

My biggest problem is not listing all my ECs but describing the ones I do have with the room available, in terms of what they are, my positions, and awards and my roles in them. I could only described one in the short essay.

redparrot- Me too! I have some non-academic awards that should go under the appropriate EC, but there's hardly enough room to list even one award.

ew, what is candle fungus?

haha I have no idea. Thought it up on a whim a while back.

hahaha it makes me laugh out loud.
