<p>Freshman year you have to complete one honors unit, such as one honors class and often no one does it until second semester. For a course it has to be a session designated as an honors class (typically a number of normal courses will have one designated honors session that JS students can sign up for). I don’t believe Math 221 has any honors level session. Math 221’s difference from math 220 is simply that 220 is designed for those who never had calculus in high school and 221 for those that did. The courses essentially cover the same thing but those in 221 are expected to know something before they begin. In and of itself 221 is not considered an honors course To become one they would have to take one of the sessions that students can sign up for and designate it as the honors sessions by adding something to the course like writing some paper.</p>
<p>Cannot really tell you what to take but it could be something to meet part of your general ed requirement.</p>
