ECE or CSE?

Which degree program would be more employable right out of college? Obviously one should pick the program that matches their interests, but as a freshman who hasn't taken any EE courses or physics 7B, right now it seems like I prefer my Math and CS classes over my physics mechanics class (which I'm doing decent in just not super excited about it). Is it possible to be in Option 2 (communications, signal processing, etc) and then switch to Option 4 (Computer Science focus) in EECS junior year if you change you mind? Thanks for reading this.

I don’t think option really matters in terms of getting the degree (that’s why you choose option V =D ) but there are generally more job postings for CS than for EE.

^thank you, is it possible to have both the ECE and CSE notations on your transcript after graduation?

The tag CSE or ECE is irrelevant really. A CS employer cares more about the classes you took and your abilities as a programmer. I know someone who was a Computational Engineering Science major, and he has a development job now. You could major in Math and have the CS minor, and still get a SoftE job.

I didn’t know that the option goes on the degree. From what I’ve heard it doesn’t ever matter what option you are except that your advisor is probably going to be able to help you more if you choose the one relevant to the classes you’re taking.

^ok I see, thanks!
