Econ 1 and UGBA 10

Which of the two classes is tougher for someone who has 0 background in either subject?

Econ 1. Application is more difficult than straight memorization. For UGBA, 50% of your grade is multiple choice exams. We just had our second exam today. The professors make the material so clear that the exams are way too easy. They’re so easy that the curve is brutal. For example, with the last exam, if you got 2+ wrong out of 36 questions, you received a B or lower. It’s ridiculous! Econ requires more than memorization, so UGBA is easier if you are good at memorization and taking multiple choice tests.

sparetire is right in saying that the material in econ might be harder, but getting an A in ba10 is a lot more work than getting an A in econ, just because of the greater competition.
