Econ 1 vs Econ 2

Hi, I am currently planning my schedule, and I do not know whether Economics 1 or 2 will be a better option for a prospective econ major. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

[General Catalog - Economics Courses](http://general-catalog.berkeley.edu/catalog/gcc_list_crse_req?p_dept_name=Economics&p_dept_cd=ECON) says:

It is also a smaller class (schedule currently says limit of 120, but there are only 2 * 30 for the discussions, so only 60 if they do not open more discussions).

[UCB Online Schedule of Classes: Search Results](http://osoc.berkeley.edu/OSOC/osoc?y=4&p_term=SP&p_deptname=--+Choose+a+Department+Name+--&p_classif=L&p_presuf=--+Choose+a+Course+Prefix%2FSuffix+--&p_dept=econ&x=28)

Thank you!

Most econ majors that I know take Econ 1, it should sufficiently prepare you for the major if you choose that route.
