Econ 100B/101B Question

The prereqs for Econ 101B are Math 1A-1B, Econ 1. I have taken all of these. However I have not taken Econ 101A or Math 53 nor am I taking those this semester. Am I in good shape for understanding 101B? I heard it's better you know Econ 101A and some multivariable calculus.

Also how would people comment on how difficult Econ 100B is compared to other Econ prerequisites (Econ 1, Stat 20/21, Econ 100A)?

Thanks!

I haven’t taken 101A or 101B so don’t trust me 100% but I’ve heard that the multivariable calculus involved in these courses is not very intensive. If you haven’t taken math 53 you could probably learn the important concepts on your own in a few days. From what I’ve heard, the multivariable calculus used involves partial derivatives, solving for max/min and Lagrange multipliers, none of which is difficult. I wouldn’t really bother taking 53 just to take the 101 series, since 53 involves a lot of vector calculus that few besides physicists and some engineers use.
