Econ 101 which prof?

Buddin or McDevitt for Econ 101? I heard Buddin is easier than McDevitt. Is that true?

mcdevitt is the king. all hail the king of econ. take him

Any other kings of econ?

Hellwig is probably the prince, and the rest are peasants lol. At least that's what I've heard.

I will be a 3rd year and McDevitt is probably the worst professor I've had yet. I'm not sure if these guys are messin with you, but I'd avoid McD's at all costs

bruinwalk.com baby

vtown: If you thought McDevitt was the worst, you probably shouldn't major in econ. :p cause all the other profs are way worse.

yahooo just owned the LIVING HELL OUT of that FOOL

again, all hail king mcdevitt III

depends. if you liked mcdevitt for 11, then you should take him for 101. i had buddin for 101, and though he was a horrible lecturer, his tests were pretty straightforward and had none of those annoying multiple choice questions.

ok, if mcdevitt is considered the king of econ here, that would just reflect the sorry state of this department. sure, he's good relative to a lot of other econ professors at ucla, but in the absolute sense, i wouldnt call him a standout professor.

who is the king of econ? kahn, hands down.

are you serious? does kahn even teach any upper divs? his econ 41 is like second grade math. come now, my friend

the econ 41 prof you're talking about is HAHN, fool. kahn is a tenured prof here and teaches select upper divs only. his classes blow the typical ucla econ class out of the water. you haven't had a real econ class here unless you've taken it with kahn.

Hey cheesecake, didn't you say you were going to make a thread about the crapiness of the econ department?

yep, will do. too many people jump into the major uninformed

^ You're procrastinating cheese :P you said that you would post it after finals...

that's what I have thought too ^_^
