Econ 10A UCSB

I’m considering transferring to UCSB for Econ and accounting. I know you have to take Econ 10A before being admitted into the full major. I read somewhere that the curve for the class is gone and you can take the final again if you don’t get a B? If anyone has info on this class please respond. What type of material is the course? I want to go to UCSB, but if my chances of I not getting into the major are extremely high I would pick somewhere like long beach or Fullerton instead.

If you pass Econ 10A with a grade between a C to a B- then you can take a cumulative exam the first week of the following quarter and be admitted if you receive a B or higher. If you don’t get the B, then you get another chance at the end of the quarter and you would take the same final exam that the Econ 10A class is taking for that quarter.
