Hi. I am a new Berkeley student this semester. I am currently register for 13 units; however, I am having problems with Math 55. Therefore, I have decided to change majors and probably drop Math 55. I do not know yet, but it will most likely be stats. The main point of my question is whether you believe that it is possible for me to take one of these classes.
P.S. My problems with Math 55 is not too much that I do not grasp the concept, but that I am not enjoying the material, therefore not reading the textbook or even trying to do the homework. Thanks for your help. Sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors. My English is not that great.

Most classes have had one or two homeworks submitted already. In my section of Stat 134 (with Prof. Song), we have already had two homeworks turned in, and we have another one due Thursday. So it may be difficult to do well if you transfer in now. If you don’t find Math 55 interesting, I’m afraid you may not find Stat 134 interesting, either, due to the similar topics. (Though 134 doesn’t cover formal logic or number theory…) I can’t speak for Econ 2, however.

Thanks energize. Are you a first year?

Yes, this is my first year (as a college student proper; I took some community college classes in high school).
