Hi I am LSA Freshman
I like to hear recommendation for Econ 2nd year class
Also Class must avoid, class must have
I have taken econ101, and taking 102 this semester.
Cal-I&II 8 credit earn by AP, I am not big fan for math ;)
Thanks

Econ 300 levels are all pretty easy. they dont go very in depth.

Are you an Econ major or are you just looking to take a couple classes? If you’re an Econ major and you’re smart enough, I highly recommend just going straight to 401, then 402, then just taking 400 level classes as your electives (they’re much better/more useful than the 300s). If you’re just looking for a couple classes and you’re not majoring, I recommend Economics of Crime (327?) or Strategy (398). I didn’t take either of those (401 was my first econ class here), but it is my understanding that those are the two best 300s via word of mouth.

Thank you bearcats and Giants92!!

I think I do Econ major.

Do you recomend take Econ401-002 honors with professor Lauermann,Stephan?
or stay away from Econ 400 honors?
(I am working LSA Honors so far.)

Eh… he’s the lecturer/professor – I had him for 401. Although very smart, I did not find his clarity to be superb. In terms of pure classroom experience, I recommend taking another section (one with an actual GSI). My 401 section (with a GSI) was very good – it was more beneficial than lecture. If you’re smart it won’t really matter too much, though. You’ll do well anyway.

Thank you Econ department for scheduling the only 401 and 402 lectures from 1-2. Again. >_<

anybody looking for econ 101 stay away from chad hogan.

and any course he teaches

^I would support that based on the anecdotes I’ve heard.
