<p>Does anyone know if taking econ 401 in the spring term is manageable? I am considering taking it because i feel i would do better in it than if i took it in a normal term with other classes, but i've also been contemplating whether the rigor of the course + the acceleration of spring term is too much to handle.</p>

<p>econ 401 is not all that difficult as long as you are confident in your abilities with derivatives and did well in econ 101. if this is not the case, you will likely need to study more but the concepts are generally similar or the same to 101 with a bit more depth. taking it in any term should be manageable, although if you had trouble with concepts in calc 1 or intro to microecon you may struggle a little.</p>
