wow is that your schedule for next quarter?

if so, that’s going to suck.

i wouldn’t bother going to brown’s oh.

oh shoot I totally spazzed.
I meant discussion.

I’m currently enrolled in econ 11, mgmt 1b, and russian 25
I’m not enrolled in econ 41 yet but if I don’t have to go to discussion, I will.

no quizzes in 41. i would recommend going to discussions because brown is practically useless.

not sure about 1b w/ though

dude just study his powerpoints and you’ll be fine in econ 41. do the practice problems…those are the ones that got me by on tests. and econ 11 with sproul is really easy. you just have to watch out for his really high curves though, since everyone in the class scores high on his quizzes. and name ravetch makes want to pee in my pants.

haha yahooo, you wouldn’t bother going to brown’s oh? can anyone even MAKE those? i recall those were at f-ing 6:30am or something. i wonder who woke up that early. discussions are very useful if you’re not stats-oriented prior to the class.

ravetch. oh man. either way, you’ll get ravaged.

Haha, good luck with Ravetch

so encouraging haha
any tips? :D

For Ravetch, study REALLY hard and make sure you understand WHY things are the way they are. And hope for a good curve - a certain % of the class is guaranteed to get A’s and B’s, so hope that you do well enough to be in that %.

Not much else you can do besides that, other than taking 1B in the summer with Gardner instead…

For Mgmt 1b, I never went to office hours, but I had an great TA who had helpful study sessions. 1B w/ Ravetch is manageable, but I would avoid him at all costs for 120A/B. Not worth the massive amounts of time and effort there.

Do you know if anyone else teaches 120A during the Fall 09? I heard it’s only Ravetch…

Really? I’ve heard that Ravetch monopolizes 120B. At least for 120A, you can count on Litt to teach it at least once a year, and there’s a bunch of visiting instructors thrown into the mix for the class.

They used to post the upcoming year’s tentative teaching schedules on the UCLA accounting minor site, but it seems like it’s pretty erratic. Sometimes they do, something they don’t.

That’s what i heard. Not sure though.

Hmm really? Litt’s teaching both sections for 120B spring quarter. Hopefully he teaches that in the fall as well. I’ve been able to avoid Ravetch so far… Hopefully I can keep this up one more time.

Lucky you. 120B was probably the hardest mgmt class for me, and I had the worst professor ever for that. Not Ravetch, but still.

In the last two years, I have not seen Litt teach 120B. I’m quite shocked he is teaching it!

haha
