Is taking ECON 2010 and STAT 2120 in the same semester an overwhelming combination? If anyone who has taken these courses could comment, that would be helpful.

ECON 2010 is unlikely to be overwhelming in any sense. It is considered a pretty easy course, and there isn’t usually any homework other than reading the textbook.

STAT 2120 is considered hard because of the way it’s usually taught- poorly. However, it’s also not necessarily a particularly hard course, it’s just that you may need to spend a lot of your own time to understand the material.

My son took ECON 2020 and STAT 2120 in the same semester as a first year and it worked out fine:). He did say that he regularly attended the STAT discussion/lab. He was not as faithful about attending each STAT class because he had difficulty understanding the instructor and had to go over the material on his own anyway. (It apparently wasn’t a problem keeping pace with where the instructor was because the instructor put all of his presentation slides on Collab, which were largely based on the text.) OTOH, he loved the ECON instructor, and did attend all of those classes and discussions:).

So, to answer your question, it is not overwhelming.
